Our Work

Click here to see a fantastic Power Point presentation created by 4J from research they did about the changes Romans brought to everyday life in Britain.  Each group researched a topic and created their own powerpoint, picking out the most important information.

We hope lots of children will have a look and learn something new from it!

Megan in 6B has written an excellent story opening.  Here it is:

The cool, bubbling water cascades down the sharp cliff as the snow on the top of the rocky mountain, which is 70 years old, melts away into a puddle of nothingness. Pine trees sway gently from side to side in the fresh summer breeze that, when is warm enough, melts the ice on the top layer of the mirror like lake. Songs of little birds echo as they glide through the dark caves and come to a sudden halt as the creatures begin to skim the lake that, by now, has frozen over once more, ready for the coming darkness that covers this peaceful place, that is home to many different but beautiful animals. Magical creatures dash in and out the woodlands, trying to loose the darkness, as if it is a terrifying hunter after their precious skin...

" Come on! Darkness is coming and we have nowhere to rest our heads!" shuddered the sparrow.

The bigger bird looked in despair. His friend was right- darkness was approaching- fast!

" Quickly follow me! It can't be much further!"

" Where? Tell me! You know how I hate to not be in the knowing!" Huffed the smaller bird.

" Oh just shut up and follow me. I think I know where we can sleep..." The large bird smiled cunningly.

Well done Megan- a really atmospheric and descriptive opening.
