What is the International School award?

The International School Award rewards schools that have shown a commitment to embedding international awareness and understanding within their class or school.

We encourage this by supporting schools in completing collaborative, curriculum-based work with a number of international partner schools, involvement of the wider community.

As your International School Award journey continues, you will learn of new ways to develop and embed international education in your school.

The Inclusion Quality Mark

Ofsted defines an educationally inclusive school as one in which the teaching and learning; achievements, attitudes and well-being of every young person matter.

Inclusion Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised framework to guide their inclusion journey. The IQM team help schools evaluate and measure how they are performing; empowering them to improve and grow. And when they’re successful, we recognise their achievement through a system of highly valued awards that provide external validation of their inclusive status. There are over 5,500 schools in the UK who have either received an IQM Inclusive School Award, or are actively working towards meeting the standard required.

Inclusion promotes equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background. It pays particular attention to the provision made for, and the achievement of, different groups of pupils within a school and any pupils who are at risk of disaffection and exclusion.

How we achieved this award

The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.

Primary Science Quality Mark is not like other quality marks, instead it is a CPD programme that helps schools to achieve a quality mark, whether science within the school has been a low profile for a while or your school want to improve the provision further. The programme provides a framework that enables science subject leaders to develop and strengthen their leadership practice, whilst increasing the profile and quality of science within their school. The process supports subject leaders to plan for improvement in science teaching and learning across the school and evaluate the impact of action taken.
