SEND and Inclusion

Castle Bromwich Junior School – Information Report

Castle Bromwich Junior School is an inclusive setting where all pupils are supported to take part in every aspect of learning and school life. We are committed to ensuring that our SEND learners feel they belong, and that they are able to achieve and thrive, reaching their full potential and leading full and fulfilling lives as part of their community. We have high expectations of all our learners and aspire to create an environment where every child can succeed.

We believe that all children should have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, including a wide range of extra‑curricular opportunities such as clubs, trips, School Council, and other social events.

CBJS is a large, four‑form‑entry primary school with 465 pupils on roll. Currently, 131 pupils are on the SEND register, representing 28% of our school population- well above the national average. Seventeen pupils have an EHCP, which accounts for 4% of the school population.
