Before and After School Club

Castle Bromwich Junior School provides both a breakfast club and an after-school club for our pupils giving peace of mind that your child/children are well-looked after at times they are unable to be at home. We provide lots of fun activities and nutritional food for every child that attends.

Bookings and charges

We know that it is not always easy to plan in advance when you will need to make use of the facility so our booking system gives you flexibility to book and pay for exactly what you need. Before your child starts CBJS, you will be issued with a ParentPay activation code letter. This will enable you to register your child at CBJS and open the Spitfires Club booking system to you. Once you have access, you can choose the sessions you would like to book- as many or as few as you require. You are able to book a session right up until 3:00pm on the day prior to needing it. Of course, sessions are subject to availability but the system enables you to see how many spaces are available for each session so you can be aware of when club is filling up!
Sessions must be paid for through ParentPay at the time of booking. However, don’t worry, if you use tax free childcare vouchers we can accept these. Once we receive the funds into our bank account, we will transfer the credit onto your ParentPay Breakfast or After school account, giving you credit to go ahead and book your sessions.
Sessions can be booked as far in advance as you like and, although sessions must be booked by 3:00pm on the day prior, we appreciate that emergencies can happen. If this happens, you may call the school office and, if there is space, we can add your child to the register. There is a premium cost for this to cover admin and staffing costs.

Breakfast Club operates from 7:30am until school opens at a cost of £6.00 per child. After-school club operates from the end of the school day up until 6.00pm.
After-school club can be booked with a choice of 3 session times.

·         3:30pm-4:30pm at a cost of £6.00 per child

·         3:30pm-5:30pm at a cost of £10.50 per child

·         3:30pm-6:00pm at a cost of £12.50 per child

Any session booked after 3:00pm on the day prior to the session will be charged at £20.00 per child. If you have not booked and your child attends, you will also be charged £20.00. This will need to be paid in full before any further bookings can be made.

Please be aware that if you book a session but are not on time to collect your child, a charge will be added to your account for the later session. This must be paid for before any further sessions can be booked. Staff need to leave at 6:00pm promptly so please do not arrive after this time. A charge of £25.00 will be made if you arrive after 6:00pm with a further £25.00 per 15 minutes after this to pay for our staff overtime.

IMPORTANT: Tax Free Childcare

We accept tax free childcare (through gov.uk) payments for Spitfires club.

If this is your intended method of payment, please send over a screenprint or similar showing you are using this method. (email address below)
